Obituary - Dr. Abishek Singh (1984 - 2014)

It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we mourn the unexpected and untimely passing away of Dr. Abishek Singh. He suffered a heat stroke while taking part in DHIRAAGU road race on June 6, 2014 and passed away on June 6, 2014. The management and the staff of ADK Hospital convey deepest condolences to Dr Abishek's family. May he rest in peace.

 

Celebration of International Nurses Day 2014

Each year, May 12 is the date designated to appreciate and celebrate the hard work of nurses all around the world. The International Council of Nurses commemorates this important day of each year with a theme. The theme for 2014 is Nurses: A Force for Change – A vital resource for health. As the theme states nurses are integral part of health care system, they are touching lives of so many people by providing services at all points of health care.

 

#LongRUN 2014

On May 16, 2014, ADK Synergy (ADK's recreation club) took to the streets of Hulhumale' on it's first ever recreational participation. Some 20 runners participated and completed the different categories of the event. The Long Run is an annual event organised by a Total Fitness Group (TfG). The run consists of two categories, a 10K run and a half marathon (21K).

 

Nurses: A Force for Change – A vital resource for health: ADK Hospital marks International Nurses Day

ADK Hospital have initiated a number of activities to mark the International Nurses Day 2014. The International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth. This year's theme for the International Nurses Day set by the International Council of Nurses is, Nurses: A Force for Change – A vital resource for health.

 

ADK Team takes part in LongRun 2014

A large group of runners are participating to represent ADK Synergy at the CocaCola LongRun 2014. This is an annual event organised by a Total Fitness Group (TfG). The run consists of two categories, a 10K run and a half marathon (21K). A total of 25 runners are participating with 7 in the 21K category and the remaining in the 10K category. Majority of these participants are participating in such an event for the first time.
