New ICU beds - Total care

ADK Hospital’s continuous efforts to improve patient care and comfort make another improvement worth mentioning. The new, sophisticated beds installed at the ICU bring care to a new level. One of the world’s renowned hospital bed makers, Hill-Rom, USA designed these beds to provide therapy for critically ill patients’ needs.

This totally electric bed helps the caregivers to progress a patient through various stages of mobilization. The air mattress of the bed is also designed to inflate eclectically and provide the required adjustments and also helps to reduce the effects bedsores due to long term hospitalisation by promoting a safe skin environment.

This new installation has already brought positive feedback from patients and also the caregivers due to ease and also the comfort and confidence gained by using this bed. Further improvements are planned for the ICU including increasing the bed capacity more advance mechanisms of care.

The Hospital will continue to improve its services in all areas to ensure that innovation and modern technology are brought in hence giving Maldivians the best of care.
