Moving towards quality, safe, patient-centered care

January 19, 2013

This year ADK Hospital embarks on a theme of quality, safe and patient centered care. Many efforts are put forward to re-align the services and orient care to a new level with the patient as the center. This is a shift in paradigm for most of the current care processes but will of course help to improve care and patient satisfaction and well as the outcome for the patient.

With a dedicated theme of quality in 2013, the Hospital has developed a Quality Strategy focused on these aspects. In 2012, we conducted research and collected information on the existing processes and also consulted patients for their feedback. Based on these findings, this year will see the launch of these initiatives and the Management Team is confident that over time the benefits will be seen for the patients.

Our main strategies of the quality framework focuses on treatment guidelines and patient safety, continuity of care and patient centeredness, regulation and monitoring as well as becoming a learning organization.

It is our vision to continually improve our services and provide the best outcomes to the patients who come through our doors, be it for a minor or a major condition. We also note that patient participation will be an important aspect of this change and your continued support and assistance is much needed and anticipated while we work towards achieving these endeavors.
