Dhonkaleyfaanu Cup 2012

November 26, 2012

Dhonkalyfaanu Cup, the annual intercompany futsal tournament of ADK Group of Companies was held from 2 – 3 November 2012. It was a great atmosphere and a lot of friendly and healthy rivalries. This year a total of 14 teams, 8 in the men’s category and 6 in the women’s category participated. Given that ADK Hospital had retained the cup for the last two years, the major rivalry is to take the cup out from the Hospital. Especially since it is the third year Hospital was contending for the cup and so it happened too. This year’s tournament was the most successful and longest running tournament so far. Matches were played well into the night and as late as after midnight. Above all, it was such a nice event where all levels of staff participated and played at the same level. This was a show of solidarity and friendship between the staff of ADK. The organization of the tournament was commendable, continuous music and the ADK General Trade “kada” were major hits on the sideline. Congratulations to the winners, FC Heevesnuvey in the men’s category and Blud Sokers in the women’s category. The transfer market is now open for next year’s cup.
