ABSTRACT
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), is a neurotoxic state characterized by cephalgia, convulsions, confusion and vision loss (CCCV). It’s a clinico-radiological syndrome mostly seen in patients with hypertensive encephalopathy, renal failure, vasculitis, immunosuppressive treatment and eclampsia. PRES is synonymous with a unique pattern of brain vasogenic edema. On CT or MRI, the edema is often widespread but predominates in the parietal and occipital regions.disor
Here, we report a case of a patient who presented with newly detected diabetes mellitus with ketonuria which was complicated by PRES.
