ADK Hospital Signs an MOU with Qualitat Medicare to get ADK Hospital Accredited for NABH

ADK Hospital takes a very bold step to raise the bar in providing high quality of healthcare and patient safety by signing an MOU between ADK Hospital and NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare providers) of India. The ceremony was held today at ADK hospital’s training clinic. 

The hospital is exemplary in introducing latest technologies to Maldives in the field of healthcare and in providing patient centred healthcare. Speaking at the event, the managing director of ADK Hospital, Mr. Ahmed Afaal said that he believes that getting an international accreditation would ensure even better patient care and the consistency of services. He also said that this step would officially bring the hospital up to par with those institutions in the neighbouring countries that Maldivians go to seek healthcare.

NABH is a quality recognition to healthcare organizations by the official body entrusted to that purpose in India.  It is issued based on fulfilment of accreditation standards by the healthcare organization, demonstrated through an independent external peer assessment of organization’s level of performance in relation to NABH standards. Under the signed MOU, the NABH will provide technical, academic and professional support to ADK hospital in reaching the NABH standards.

Accreditation ensures a transparent system of ethical management control over the entire hospital and it assures that the accredited healthcare facility constantly maintains the accredited standards during its validity period.
