Launching of SOMATOM Definition AS 128 slice CT System at ADK Hospital

The hospital launched today a new CT system; SOMATOM Definition AS 128 slice, this evening. It was launched at ADK Hospital by the chief guest of the ceremony, minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Azleen Ahmed. The inauguration event was held in the ball room of Hotel Jen and the opening of the CT was live streamed at the venue.

Speaking at the event, the managing director of ADK Hospital, Mr. Ahmed Afaal talked about his vision of providing the latest technology and state of art healthcare facilities at ADK Hospital. He urged the Maldivians to obtain maximum benefits from such modern facilities established in the Maldives instead of going abroad. He noted that the SOMATOM Definition AS 128 slice CT System is the latest technology in CT scanning available in the market. His words were reinforced in a presentation given by an engineer from Siemens who explained the functions of the SOMATOM Definition AS to the audience.

The chief guest of the ceremony, minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Azleen Ahmed also highlighted Mr. Afaal’s  words and talked about the importance of making the maximum use of the available modern healthcare facilities in the Maldives as well as the expertise of the local doctors in order to avoid the leakage of finances to foreign countries.

The ceremony ended with drawing out 3 three lucky winners among the audience who were given fabulous prizes and a buffet dinner. The ceremony was live telecasted via Twitter and Facebook.
